by Shawn Lee Revis

Description

What could be stranger than a duck out of water?

How about one afraid to fly, for starters?

Boys and girls, meet Pewy Lewy Lucy, part duck, part turkey, and afraid of nothing—well, almost nothing.

She has no fear of water. She knows to cross on green, so traffic doesn’t scare her. She’s not even afraid of toothy creatures with big, bad claws. However … although she comes from a long line of feathered flyers, her heart goes thump (and bump and bump!) when she thinks of being in the air, because then she thinks first of falling.

What to do? With a big gulp of air and a leap off a cliff, Pewy Lewy Lucy rushes to meet her fear. Will she be so afraid she can’t fly? Will disaster strike? Or will she learn that while fear begins many adventures, hers can end in weightless joy.

Come join Pewy Lewy Lucy and find out what happens when fear meets bravery.
