Raised in a convent, her talents have been honed in the areas of parapsychology and demonology. She is the youngest member of a very secret organization known as, The Order. When she is assigned to help a group of friends revamp a ghost town in Nevada that has been closed for nearly a hundred years, she is told that she may be bound to one of the men on the project. Can she help put the town ghosts to rest, and keep her heart safe from the men of Fortune Station?
Description
This book is a paranormal romance that begins with the re-opening of a ghost town. When the Fortune twins inherit a ghost town on their thirtieth birthdays, they plan, along with four of their childhood friends to turn it into a Steampunk park for tourists. After all, at the age of ten, they were each given a key to the gate's lock and told that one day the town would be their own. However, it takes three keys to open the lock, the third being kept by the caretaker who resides outside the gate in his family cabin. They don't know exactly why the town was sealed shut, what secrets it holds or why the family priest sends them a stranger in the guise of a landscaper to join their team. When Alyce Dash is given the assignment to help the Fortunes, she isn't sure what to expect. Her mentor advises her that she may be bound to one of the men in the mix, but she isn't going to take that bait so easily. She likes her life the way it is. Just herself, her dog and a private trailer in the convent garden. If she's expected to fall for some guy because the paranormal dictates it to be so, she'll fight it all the way; using every single one of her "special talents" to remain single. At the stroke of midnight, on their birthdate, the group will be eligible to enter the town for the first time in over seventy-five years. As they move through each abandoned building, they find themselves caught up in a mysterious adventure. The old hotel is left in pristine condition, the beds made up, as if waiting for new lodgers. The bank vault is full, complete with personal belongings and monetary items that leave them speechless. But, the true horror begins to unravel when they find a rare fortune teller machine and a case file for a missing teen. Can they work together to solve the mystery, banish the ghosts and turn their vision into a successful business? Anything can happen at Fortune Station.
