This ebook provides an approach to the resolution of runners plantar fasciitis based on improved body awareness and the dynamic nature of fascia. FitOldDog’s bout of runner’s plantar fasciitis-induced heel and foot pain resulted from his tendency to lean forward whilst standing, compounded by a tense hamstring triggering calf muscle spasms and tightening of the related fascia. How would a boot or sock help with that? They didn’t? Curing my sore heel enabled me to qualify for the Boston Marathon – what a blast! Wouldn’t you like to do that – you might? Existing products didn’t fix my plantar fasciitis. An arch support will take the load off of the plantar fascia and ease the discomfort, but it won’t fix the underlying cause, which is our strategy for long-term freedom from heel and foot pain. If you don’t fix it you might have to give up running for good, or worse still you may tear your plantar fascia, which is excruciatingly painful. About the author
Kevin Thomas Morgan (aka FitOldDog) is a veterinarian with extensive training in Pathology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and mathematical modeling, who has moved into this new career of body movement and aging. His business, Old Dogs in Training LLC, has the specific goal of encouraging and assisting people to undertake programs of safe exercise for better health. He has an emphasis on getting on with life after major health challenges, which in his case was a self-diagnosed, life-threatening abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) – click this link to download a free copy of his Surgery Recovery Guide.
