About the author
I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher New York City, where I live close to my beautiful daughter Cassandra, and my grandson Ali Sky. Prior to living in New York City, I lived in Massachusetts. Growing up with loving parents Jack and Ellin Coughlin ,and 4 sisters on Cape Cod, childhood was spent on the beach, in swimming lessons and always involved in school sports and town of Bourne festivities. Life was so special, healthy and happy. I went to UMass Amherst and completed a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, and then a Master's degree in Multicultural Education. During this time, I became a Mom to my beautiful daughter Cassie and son Skyler. We lived in Western Massachusetts and had a great life together, our family of three. In 2013, our world changed in a minute. Skyler was killed at only 17 years old. Every minute since then is a different life than when Sky was here on Earth. To honor Skyler's memory, I wrote this book to teach children about how we are connected to the Universe from the day we are born. I hope this is the beginning of a children's Spiritual book series for me. My shattered soul has found meaning in learning about the ways we are connected to a larger force, the Universe. I hope in learning these ways, little minds and hearts will learn, grow and have faith, when there is no other way to find comfort. Skylove forever!
