Evolution of the Heart is a book of poetry that explores the understanding of love through the interaction with others. Often times we allow our triumphs and sorrows to overshadow who we are, how we truly feel, what we need, where we are headed, when to let go, and why we are living. Some love may give you your own version of a fairytale ending. Another type of love may leave you in a puddle of your own tears while digging into a pint of ice cream. Crazy love makes you do things you've never imagined you'd ever do. And often times we allow our triumphs and sorrows to overshadow who we are, how we truly feel, what we need, where we are headed, when to let go, and why we are living. Some say that time is the only cure for love, but once your heart makes that connection, it leaves a permanent imprint. There's no hiding from love, the heart gets what the heart wants, whether or not the heart will remain complete and not broken is the scary part. But we all take that risk. The risk to ultimately be in love. To be in love with our father, mother, spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend. Love comes in many forms. Although you may experience turmoil on your journey to love, Evolution of the Heart reminds you to stay true to your first love, YOURSELF! Love is the closest we get to perfection, and although no one is perfect, EVERYONE deserves love!

Dannielle Williamson was born in Washington, D.C. in 1982. Having been brought up in an intense and turbulent environment, she experienced things that most children wouldn’t have at such an early age. Feeling like she needed an alternative life, Dannielle dove into reading fiction novels, short-stories and poetry while becoming one with the characters. Over time, those adventurous stories aided Dannielle in discovering her own creative side and in turn she began writing poetic tales to further escape the tough times. Upon obtaining an undergraduate degree in Business from Fordham University in New York, Dannielle returned home to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career as a Financial Analyst. While living on her own, she honed in on her passion for cooking and in her spare time caters intimate gatherings for family and friends, professional events, and milestone moments. Despite her hectic schedule, Dannielle continues to find the time to write relevant poetry as a release for the good, the bad, and the unwanted that life brings.
