About the author
Audrey Bruce is 14 years old and an 8th grader at Near North Montessori. She has enjoyed writing creative stories for many years. Audrey spends a lot of time in Michigan at her lake house where she writes based on her many escapades in nature. These experiences have shaped her writing and given it a unique quality that only comes from experiencing nature first hand. She lives in Chicago with her parents, brother, and cat Totoro, who was the inspiration for parts of this story. This is her first published book.
