Drakon

Drakon is a story about a boy named Drake who lives in a house in Michigan in the forest by Lake Michigan. Drake stumbles across a baby dragon in the woods, takes pity on it and decides to care for it, not knowing how much it will change his life. Not long after befriending and training the dragon, he stumbles across its three siblings. Drake takes charge of the four elemental dragons. However, things get a little complicated when thieves discover and attempt to steal his dragons. Will Drake manage to keep them safe and secret?

Audrey Bruce is 14 years old and an 8th grader at Near North Montessori. She has enjoyed writing creative stories for many years. Audrey spends a lot of time in Michigan at her lake house where she writes based on her many escapades in nature. These experiences have shaped her writing and given it a unique quality that only comes from experiencing nature first hand. She lives in Chicago with her parents, brother, and cat Totoro, who was the inspiration for parts of this story. This is her first published book.
