Description
The highly rated author of "Deceit of the Soul – Saving the World from COVID-19" delivers another rollercoaster thrill ride with his fact-driven gonzo style full of unexpected twists and turns introducing extraordinary and unforgettable characters. Skipping in time, the reader will want to hold on to watch the pieces fall in place. There is more to the universe, and our essence, than we can understand. Government leaders backed by global elites want to obscure the real reasons for dominating the space race. But, these leaders, along with intelligence services, have long been seduced by power and cannot be trusted. Earth is at a technological tipping point. The demand for rare earth metals and minerals to feed emerging technologies is creating a world-wide competition that could impact human survival. Humanity must rely on artificial intelligence, or something else, to connect events in time to be able to change our course forever to survive. Benjamin Oliver, a semi-retired attorney in Kansas, was a cancelled dark operative in one of the most hidden clandestine services. Now, he is being called back into service to recover some long-lost specimens that hold the key to unraveling the secrets that can change human existence. His quest encounters Louan, a WWII hero; Katherine, an MI6 senior director emeritus; and Rosett, a rogue Danish intelligence operative, who all have their own secrets to keep.
About the author
Henry Cox has been a successful trial lawyer for 40 years, with numerous professional honors, litigating cases Nationwide and beyond. After writing a legion of non-fiction short stories in briefs for the courtroom, he brings his colorful writing style to fiction that reveals the conflict, intrigue and humor of the human condition. Henry's writing parlays his experience from his many lives from Division I track to the courtroom, working at 30,000 feet in the air and a quarter-mile underground. At every turn the drama and comedy of human events is waiting to be captured, where the most important stories are found in the story behind the story - the one that's never told, and often can't be told. Sometimes reality is best revealed through fiction.
