No one has figured out how to stop suicide bombings. But, one man has an idea. If it works it could save thousands of lives.

Can suicide bombings be stopped? Not so far. It was the most effective and vicious method of killing ever devised. But Al Kaufmann had an idea. His son was killed in Iraq by a suicide bomber, and he was determined to try. His idea was totally illegal, and many would think it was monstrous. But if it worked, it could save thousands of lives. To prepare, he assembled a team. The search took them to the Arkansa Ozarks, where outsiders are not welcome; to New York City where they had to deal with street gangs; to Acre, Israel, one of the oldest cities in the world; and to Hebron, in the Palestine West Bank, one of the most dangrous citis on earth,. In Hebron they encountered Hama, the brutal terrorist organization that bred and trained suicide bombers. Every step was dangerous, but they carried out the plan. They may, indeed, have stopped or reduced this brutal method of killing innocent victims.

Don Ruch was born in St Louis, Mo. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WWIII he continued to the University of Missouri, graduating in 1950 with a degree in business and finance. In 1951 he married Jeannine. They had three sons. Starting his business career as a salesman, he progressed to Vice-President of a division of a Petrochemical Company. Refusing to retire he worked as a business and tax consultant. He wrote his first novel when he was 83, and has written three others. Now a widower, he lives in Monroe, Ct.
