Description

More than a mystery, this is a lesson on how bankruptcy does, and doesn't work in the United States. What happens to the money collected during bankruptcy? Who are the Trustees? Who are the Judges? How do these people get their jobs? Are there safeguards against abuse? Who is in charge? "Corruptacy" is a historic novel with a silver lining that can inspire anyone who believes that good will overcome evil.

"Don VanLandingham has a very clever and precise way of writing a story about things that most people have no knowledge of but he explains it very well.  He makes what could be called a boring subject of a 'bean counter' (accountant) into a very exciting story that involves corruption, murder, kidnapping, and the threat of death all woven in.  Overall, a very well-written book, well thought out, planned, and executed with a very thought-provoking religious thread that runs within the story." Christopher Anderson for Readers' Favorite.

"This story if full of twists and turns that surprise at times and allow the reader to stretch believability and coincidence from time to time.  The two main characters' emphasis on family and community values and the importance thereof provides an excellent counterpoint to the daily dangers of their professions.  This was an enjoyable read and one I can definitely recommend." Grant Leishman for Readers' Favorite.

Corruptacy is a fascinating read.  I wasn't familiar with how bankruptcy fraud investigation works, but VanLandingham explained it well without intruding on the plot.  The protagonist, Jeffrey Allan, is a likable character and readers will sympathize with him as he faces, and overcomes, his problems.  I highly recommend this enjoyable book by Don VanLandingham".  Joe Wisinski for Readers' Favorite.
