Description
The BellaVilla condominium in a wealthy Seattle suburb offers every luxurious amenity imaginable for its privileged residents. When recently down-sized engineer Kate Ryan is hired as concierge, she is determined to gain the approval of the rich and powerful residents and her condescending boss. Her success is jeopardized by the dubious behavior of fellow concierge, the young and sexy Carla. The woman's fling with BellaVilla's richest bachelor is bad enough but when he is found stabbed to death, working at the ritzy complex takes an ominous turn. Enter Jack Doyle, a homicide detective with an intrinsic magnetism accentuated by his disheveled, bad boy look. Doyle's just the sort of guy Kate might fall for . . . that is, if he wasn't her ex-husband. Putting their past difficulties aside, he convinces her that the inside information she is privy to as concierge, coupled with his investigative skill, is a perfect combination for cracking the case. When a second murder happens and suspicion falls on Kate, all bets are off. As she soon discovers, playing detective is a dangerous game with deadly consequences.
