About the author
It was the 29th of January 1980, when I was born to a Brazilian mother and an American father in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Being a lady of mixed race, I had the opportunity to be involved in both cultures, along with an ever-lasting influence of the poetical and lyrical language of Portuguese. My inspiration to receive a degree in education came from my aunt, mother, and grandmother as they had chosen a similar path in the past. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and earned a certificate of teaching art from the University of Texas. The year 2007 was marked as the beginning of my career as I started as an Art teacher in Leander, Texas at Deer Creek Elementary School. Helping my students in their learning and promoting their knowledge of well-known works and styles has always been my passion. The positive outcomes of my endeavors propelled me to further deepen my roots within this field and I was convinced to pen down a couple of influential books for the young aspirants of Arts. "Art rhymes through the times" and the "Book of rhymes about the principles and elements of art" are the books I am an author of. At the moment, I am working on some of the rhymes that Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing has also published for me. Apart from my professional life, I love to cherish my time with my husband Don, and three siblings namely Cathleen, Calysia, and Christopher. -Charleen Carothers
