About the author
Holly K. Thrasher thought she had found her purpose when she opened her nostalgic candy store in Ojai, CA in 2010. Providing sweet treats and creating joyful memories for her customers was her childhood dream and she was fulfilling it daily at Kingston's Candy Co. Six years into her sweet life as the local "Candy Lady" a breast cancer diagnosis turned her world upside down and temporarily changed her life from sweet to bitter. The experience transformed her body, her life, and changed the trajectory of her dreams. Holly thought she had lost her purpose when she closed her business to focus on breast cancer treatment, but she found her true calling by sharing her very personal photographs of her healing process. Bittersweet: A Vulnerable Photographic Breast Cancer Journey was written to support and empower women with breast cancer. Holly lives in the California desert with her husband, Wiley, and their son, Vance.
