About the author

Darlene Harris is an attorney in Charlotte, North Carolina. During a restless night (and a restless child) before a big day in court, she wondered how to explain to a child that love sometimes comes with structure and guidance. That is how Because I Love You came to life. Instead of Because I said so, it is Because I Love You, that I teach you.

Sherrod Seward is an attorney, but his most important job is being a Dad. He realized that explaining Love and parenting to a child can be more difficult than any legal task. He decided that in order to learn we must first understand. Children should understand that it is all Because I Love You.
