Beacon the Magical Dolphin is a delightful children's story about three young dolphin who spend their time playing and feeding in the waters of the Florida Keys. One of the dolphins is involved in an incident with an electric eel. As a result of the incident The dolphin obtains magical powers. He is able to swim faster than any other dolphin and emits a bright blue light. When King Neptune sees him, he names the glowing dolphin Beacon. Beacon utilizes his newfound powers to help sailors and fishermen in distress.

About the author
Jess Johnson lives in Central Florida and is a retired law enforcement officer. He has spent 35 years serving his community as a police officer and elementary school security manager. He has spent numerous vacations with his family and friends on the water in the Florida Keys. He was inspired to write "Beacon the Magical Dolphin" and "Beacon Helps Santa" by his love of all marine life, the Christmas holiday season, and the smiling faces of the students at the Park Maitland School.
