In the heat of a game, every second counts. Sabrina finds out that the same rule is applied off the court. She'll stop at nothing to make it to the top; while having to balance her home life.
A young basketball prodigy will have not just her skills tested but her over all belief in who she really is. Sabrina Sage finds herself in the midst of the craziest summer of her life, right before entering her senior year of high school, as the schools top point guard. She comes to realize that her biggest competition isn't on the basketball court but in her personal life. Forced into the role of an adult by a neglectful parent, will Sabrina be able to make adult decisions? If she can't, it just might cost her the people and things that mean the most to her.
About the author
Take the time to get to know S.D. Johnson, also known as, Samone Danette Johnson to her family and friends. She is an author, blogger, poet, and motivating speaker from Sacramento, California. She is also a loving wife and mother of three beautiful children. Many of her inspiring writing projects have come from her life experiences as well as her strong faith in the Lord. As a mentor; S.D. Johnson has shared her heart by assisting in developing young people; by helping them find and pursue their God-given purposes in life. From that The Lord has given her a mentoring curriculum that has been written and utilized. Many speaking opportunities were presented to her; where she has shared her testimony and poured into women young and mature, in hopes to encourage them with the journey God has given her. In 2012, S.D. Johnson released her first novel in a series, which has been published as an eBook. The Weekend: A Short Before the Story, is a reflection of events that have taken place in her life. She was able to create various characters that held different aspects and personalities from people that she has come across over time. Without knowing it a head of time, some of what was written actually transpired for her in real life. The book received great reviews and the followers of her work, look forward to the next book in the series. Be on the lookout for her next project called, Ball Hog (which is not part of the series); it is due to be release in the early part of 2014. This is anticipated to be an intriguing and controversial page turner; and has already been labeled as “not your average basketball story”. You can follow her blog at and get in contact with her on the website that she shares with her amazing husband Didymus, at Get in contact with S.D. Johnson and be a part of the journey that she is taking through her writing, speaking, and ministry.
