Auditing Your Legal Bill in Three Easy Steps

Overview
Why audit your legal bill? All large corporations audit their legal bills, but they have “Legal Departments” consisting of CPAs and Attorneys at their disposal to accomplish the task. It obviously makes “economic sense” for these corporations to pay competitive salaries to their own “in house” professionals to do this for them. In other words, the corporations make a rate of return on their legal bill audits greater than the cost of the auditors. We attempted an exhaustive search on the internet to find assistance for “small, individual” auditing help and could find NONE. Everything seemed to be referred to the large auditing companies. We spoke with a couple of them, only to learn what we had expected; there was just “not enough in it” at our levels to justify their involvement. That left the “little guy” alone with no guidance whatsoever on a “playing field” with professionals, who were not intent on teaching the “rules of the game”. After reading this brief “How to” manual, you will never again view attorneys in the same light, or they you. We decided to place this knowledge in the public domain at a very reasonable price to give the “average person” a fighting chance.

About the author
Jay Evans, author of Auditing Your Legal Bill in Three Easy Steps, is a Phoenix-based entrepreneur. He and his colleagues encountered many legal fees over the years in their various ventures. One day Jay grew perplexed at the legal billing process, and he could find no company or individual willing to audit his legal bills (most legal auditing companies will work only with large corporations, whose legal bills are in excess of $200,000). He read every available book on the subject. From those sources, a brief outline format for auditing was established. Jay and his associates used these methods very successfully, and his friends asked for copies of the plan. He decided to make his research and techniques available for all consumers to use through his book. After hearing from many more individuals who had excessive legal bills, but who were still too “small” to receive assistance from the existing legal auditing firms, AuditMyLegalBill.com was born. As other people became interested, the company has grown steadily, helping many other “average Joes and Janes” just like Jay recover unsubstantiated legal fees, and more importantly, avoid them from the beginning of a professional legal relationship simply by understanding the process.
