About the author
Dr. Christian Overman holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Bakke Graduate University, with an emphasis on Transformational Leadership for the Global City, studying under Dr. Ray Bakke. He also holds a Master of Education degree from Seattle Pacific University with an emphasis in philosophy of Christian education, studying under Dr. Albert E. Greene, Jr. He is also a commissioned Centurion, studying under Chuck Colson.
Dr. Overman served as principal of a Christian school for fourteen years, and was a church staff member for twenty-four years. In 2000, he and his wife, Kathy, founded Worldview Matters ® [biblicalworldview.com] dedicated to helping followers of Christ make relevant connections between the biblical worldview and their daily lives, particularly in the workplace [godspleasureatwork.blogspot.com]. Dr. Overman also maintains a private practice as a faith-integration coach [firstcommission.blogspot.com].
Dr. Overman has presented training workshops on biblical worldview and "thinking Christianly" throughout the United States, as well as in Central America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to writing Assumptions That Affect Our Lives, he has authored God's Pleasure At Work, as well as The Difference One Life Can Make, and co-authored Making the Connections: How to Put Biblical Worldview Integration into Practice. He and Kathy have four children and ten grandchildren. They reside near Seattle, Washington, USA.
