Through my work as a rabbi, I have been blessed to spend years interacting with students and young people from every walk of
life. I've been humbled to listen to people struggle with their humanity, and I am endlessly inspired by their journeys and their
strength. These experiences have given me so much to share really, it's a privilege to be doing so via writing in a first book.
In the past, I've shied away from the pen, yet the time has come. It is telling, however, that it's arriving first in the form of poetry, where my passionate thoughts and emotions can hide safely behind the cryptic veil of artful verbiage. The truth is that I am at my own crossroads in life and these poems are what came out.
These words are based on deep Chassidic thought, on the Rebbe's groundbreaking words about the imminence of the Era of Redemption, on the acute pains that others have shared with me, and finally on the acute pains I feel within myself.
Possibly and hopefully, you will hear or feel the spirit in these words, and they will evoke a spirit within you. A spirit that we
all possess and deserve to activate, as the future emerges from hiding.
