Overview
It was bad enough that human's killed the Earth and had to flee in a caravan of spaceships in hopes of greener pastures, but as far as Hailey was concerned the fact that they left all the animals behind was unforgivable. Hailey's surprise discovery is going to change that. More than five centuries after a mass exodus of human's left earth, our heroine is sick of her smothering Mother and judgmental noisy shipmates. In an attempt to spread her wings and get some alone time, she sets off on her maiden voyage to scavenge scrap and make her fortune. Her alone time is brought to an end by a momentous discovery. What follows is a series of catastrophes and a strange cast of characters that lead her to more adventure and love than she ever thought possible.
Description
It was bad enough that human's killed the Earth and had to flee in a caravan of spaceships in hopes of greener pastures, but as far as Hailey was concerned the fact that they left all the animals behind was unforgivable. Hailey's surprise discovery is going to change that. More than five centuries after a mass exodus of human's left earth, our heroine is sick of her smothering Mother and judgmental, noisy shipmates. In an attempt to spread her wings and get some alone time, she sets off on her maiden voyage to make her fortune. Her alone time is brought to an end by a momentous discovery. What follows is a series of catastrophes with a strange cast of characters that lead her to more adventure and love than she ever thought possible. From almost the time Hailey could remember she had two great yearnings. She wanted to meet a real-life earth animal and to show her shipmates she was just as good as her perfect sister. She did not have any hope of seeing an animal because humans had left them all to die. Showing the people in her fleet that she was someone, that she was determined to do. Imagine her surprise when she comes face to face with a real dog. In getting to know her new four-legged friend, she meets a whole new group of friends and reconnects with her family. Hailey thought she had her world all figured out, but a little puppy teaches her she was not the badass she thought she was.
About the author
Alicia Paintner is a Grandma, wife, sister. She has always considered herself an artist in one form or fashion that was forced to take a "real" job to feed all her animals. When she was younger, she trained Guide Dog Puppies, and it was one of the most fulfilling jobs she ever had. She paints, rides horses and has been dog crazy since she could walk. Thanks to her Mother she has always been a voracious reader, and she decided it was time to put some of the stories in her head to paper.
