On the other side, the Lacking: a cold and dark place that eats anything it can, with only the moon as company to lost shadows. One girl, born in the Lacking but reclaimed by the Fullness, has the power to walk freely between the dark and the light in search of those who need help. But as she learns lessons in the King's throne room and makes friends in both sides of All Dominion, old ones who remember the world before this split seek her out. Cassidie Cox has been a French student, app designer, marketer for schools, camerawoman, children's book translator, framer, and maker of pretty things. She likes writing fantasies about people who she's grown up with, and wants to keep making books for young people that make them feel hopeful for their own stories.
