Overview
I’ve always enjoyed passing knowledge onto others, and in a career spanning over 50 years with varied experiences, I’ve gained a lot of experience to pass on, and this book is a means of passing that knowledge on to aspiring students and would be, or existing, instructors. This book covers all the sequences required through to a commercial pilot licence, plus night flying and basic instrument flying.
Description
I’ve always enjoyed passing knowledge onto others, and in a career spanning over 50 years with varied experiences, I’ve gained a lot of experience to pass on, and this book is a means of passing that knowledge on to aspiring students and would be, or existing, instructors. This book covers all the sequences required through to a commercial pilot licence, plus night flying and basic instrument flying. Not only does it detail what should be taught, it details what the student can expect from each lesson, how to conduct themselves within that lesson, and at the end of each lesson there’s a number of revision questions, with answers at the end of the book. For instructors, it gives an insight into how various sequences should be taught, what the instructor can expect from the student, and what they should expect from themselves.
About the author
I've spent over 50 years in the aviation industry as an engineer, a licensed engineer, a pilot, an instrument rated pilot, an instructor and an examiner. I've work throughout Australia, mostly in the remote areas and deserts, the jungle areas of New Guinea and the British Solomon Isles, and two trips to the Antarctic. I have over 18,000 hours, of which over 7,000 are instructional hours. I have a wealth of experience as a pilot and a wealth of experience as both a flying and theory instructor. I wrote and published an online aviation theory course (www.OnlineAviationTheory.com) for both aeroplanes and helicopters, and now on publishing and e-book with the helicopter flying training notes, with one for aeroplanes to follow shortly.
