Join Bernatious Aloyisious Turtle and his friends as they follow their instincts to survive winter. Based on the interactive play and outreach program started by Fair Hill Nature Center in 1996, this book brings a staple of the kindergarten experience in Cecil County, MD home to children everywhere.

Fair Hill Nature Center is an independent 501(c )(3) non-profit organization located within Maryland's Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area. Our mission is to inspire stewardship and community through outdoor environmental education. Our authors and illustrator are conservationists and teachers in our local community.
