About the author
Clare’s passion for storytelling dates back to her childhood; listening to a daily storytelling program on the radio and the vivid stories her father would create and share. Clare spent 16 years working at senior management level with International Organisations before transitioning into people development. During her time in business she uncovered the power of storytelling to motivate, inspire and include where delivery of information and data alone just could not ‘cut the mustard’. In 1996 Clare was introduced to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) where her love of metaphor developed in conjunction with storytelling. She started collecting stories and metaphors to illustrate her points and eloquently gift-wrap the messages and lessons she wanted to share in this uniformly accepted communication tool. An energised, enthusiastic and passionate speaker and facilitator, Clare combines her knowledge, skills and experience of storytelling to captivate her audiences’ hearts and minds. Originally from the UK, Clare now lives in Queensland, Australia with her partner Jason.
