In the New Zealand chapters there are many stories on the fantastic hunting and fishing opportunities there and reflections on times gone by. Then some colorful stories as you would expect from the life of a young, footloose and fancy free merchant marine let loose on the big wide world! Finally follow him as he grows up, settles down, raises a family and moves to Australia and faces the challenges therein.

K.C. Smith was born and raised in New Zealand and now lives and works in Newcastle, two hours north of Sydney, Australia. He is married with one daughter and one step daughter. He has travelled and worked all over the world in the past forty odd years amassing a large collection of interesting and humorous stories. His first book “A Passage Thru Life” covers these and many more memories from the first 50 years or so.
