About the author
Stan is a native of Detroit, Michigan and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1969 to 1971. A graduate of Berklee School of Music and Jersey City State College, he was a High School Band Director for 28 years in Newark, New Jersey. Stan recorded and released a CD for children called, "Stand Up All You Children," for which he composed, arranged, produced and engineered all of the songs. Later, he took the lyrics from the CD and turned them into text for a children's book, "A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That." The CD and the Book are companions—they work very well together. Stan is living in Avondale, AZ with his loving wife of 45 years, Cynthia. The Cleveland's have two sons, Winston and Jeffrey, and two grandkids, David and Alicia.
