Description
Cats have nine lives; dogs, sadly, have only one. This anthology of tongue-in-cheek tributes is a loving tribute to the lives of more than 20 real dogs. Complete with photos, this witty collection captures each dog's unforgettable character. A true celebration of man's best friend, "A Dog's Life" is sure to delight any dog lover. Whether it's Bilbo, the swaggering Scottish terrier grappling with height envy, Watson, the medicated bichon frise with his own Facebook page, Boris, the gentle but over-sexed Doberman, or any of the other dogs profiled in this collection, these vivid verbal portraits will have you laughing out loud and wiping away a tear or two.
About the author
Peter Bogyo has had a succession of Scottish terriers since childhood. The author of "Broadway General Manager: Demystifying the Most Important and Least Understood Role in Show Business," he is a veteran general manager of Broadway and off-Broadway shows, and has worked with many award-winning producers, directors, authors, stars, and designers. He is also a producer of special events, and has produced major benefit concerts at Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Town Hall, and Symphony Space in New York City. Peter is a graduate of Yale College and the Commercial Theater Institute, and has been a member of the Broadway League, and a Tony Award voter. With his wife Ahna and Scottish terrier Dickens, he lives in New York City and in Upstate New York, where he has amassed a large collection of Scottish terrier objects, including salt and pepper shakers, door stops, vintage posters, embroidered pillows, candles, napkins, wrapping paper, stationery, boot scrapers, crockery, a child's antique rocker, pajamas, sheets, slippers, a bath mat, and a weathervane— To name just a few.
