A Day in the Life of Irma Moon
by Ella Engberg

Overview

A slice out of the life harried mom, raising her children to be upstanding young men and women. Irma is often put in embarrassing and compromising situations, but she refuses to give up the little dignity she left. You'll be left wondering how she still managed to make it through each seemingly normal, yet comical situation.

Description

A book that relates to all ages, either as a culprit, or a commander in chief or both. The author injects her own experiences into the character of Irma Moon, and the situations are reflections of her own life. Irma Moon is married to a dairy farmer and is raising her eleven children in a way that only she knew how to do. Every day is an adventure and each short story tells a tale of unforgettable moments. Irma is a mom like any other who deals with mishaps and fiascos in the only way she knows how and you are left laughing and reminiscing on your own experiences. From unwanted and unexpected pets, camping mishaps, and onto teenage "know it better" moments, Irma tackles every situation with extreme finesse and modest decorum. Irma Moon is every mom you know and in her, and her children you will see yourself. You will find comical relief in impossible situations and walk away with a grin on your face. Irma's everyday moments are ours: her struggles are ours as well, and ultimately we can laugh along with her. Sit down for a spell and prepare to giggle from cover to cover.
