Description
Private Garcia, a Christian soldier, faces a dilemma between his military duty in Iraq and the tenets of his Christian Faith, which forbid killing. Private Garcia struggles with this dilemma after being assigned to go on a patrol, and is finally forced to make a decision between his military duty and his faith. What will his decision be? After consulting military clergy and his own conscience, Private Garcia must make a decision and this story details the turmoil he encounters in making his decision. There are also two additional short stories in this collection. The first discusses those that have turned Christianity into a business, and the hypocritical nature of these “Christian Entrepreneurs” who become wealthy and famous through their teachings of Jesus’ message. Are they actually living the message? This story follows Pastor Johnny, a “Christian Entrepreneur” , at one of his sermons and the events that unfold during his sermon. Is it right to profit from Christianity? You be the judge. The final short story depicts the trial of Jesus in a modern-day court and the jury’s verdict after hearing the evidence presented by the prosecution. You may or may not be surprised by the outcome. After each short story in this collection there are poems that are related to the story.
