As the letters are translated by Stanley she becomes attached to the letter write although it appears she is not her birth mother, As the letters are read they reveal more questions than answers, and dark secrets begin coming to the surface about the person who has written the letters. Soon after reading the letters, a series of murders happens around Rayna. Not knowing if the two events are connected, Rayna will become fearful for her own life when a third victim shows up dead—with seemingly no answers to speak of.

After many attempts to get the letters translated, she gets in contact with a man named Stanley, who knows the language and can translate the letters. Rayna is ecstatic at the thought of finally knowing what her birth parents have written her. Not wanting Stanley to know she is looking for her parents, she lies to him about who the letters belong to. Rayna finally learns the truth of what lies in the letters. Although Rayna doesn't think the writer of the letters is her birth mother, she becomes attached to the letter writer, As the letters are read they reveal more questions than answers, and dark secrets begin coming to the surface about the person who has written the messages. Soon after reading the letters, a series of murders begin to happen around Rayna.
