Description
There are 750,000 strokes in the USA each year. Some experts believe that 600,000 of these might be candidates for "acute stroke reversal". A recent estimate suggests that only about 4 to 8% of all those strokes have any attempt at stroke reversal. This book tells the stories of 15 patients at a large midwestern stroke reversal center who underwent acute stroke reversal. Their ages varied from 18 to 63 and their stories may surprise you. These cases illustrate that stroke disease does not just reside in the elderly - it can affect any age group. Learn the signs of the acute stroke and what to do for the victim. This book may be useful to those who have had a family member affected by a " completed" stroke. There is quite a bit of information on the mechanics of stroke and measures you might take if you are at risk.
