Norma DeShields has extensive experience and knowledge in the Music Industry. She began her career in radio in the early 90’s. From there she worked at several record companies - Motown, Zoo Entertainment, Giant, A&M, Interscope, TVT, and Virgin. Her many years as a Radio Marketing and Promotion Manager gave her a keen knowledge of how to get records on the radio and a network that has grown vastly.
Norma is the founder of DeShields Entertainment, a full-service radio marketing and promotion company. DeShields Entertainment works with record companies, as well as independent artists, to secure airplay across the country for their projects.
Norma DeShields has represented and promoted some of the industry’s biggest artists - Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Phillip Bailey, Phyllis Hyman, Eminem, Luther Vandross, and Stevie Wonder to name a few. Just as impressive are the independent new artist that DeShields Entertainment has helped to launch and break into the industry - Daniel Young, One 4 Christ, Curtis Branson, Aaron Mason, Jessica Greene, Bishop Larry D. Trotter and Sweet Holy Spirit, The Brown Sisters and many more.
Norma DeShields is also the author of "Joy Comes This Morning", a devotional written to encourage and uplift the reader each day. It was published by Kimani Press, a division of Harlequin Enterprises and is now offered through DeShields Publishing, Inc.
