Overview
This is the commentary of the Christian Rap Album 6:12 by God's Army. Available on iTunes. This book literally unfolds, breaks down, and makes plain God's Word, through today's music phenomenon: RAP. It utilizes this expressive art form to present God's Word in a way that reaches youth (and adults) from all walks of life. It ushers them into the minds of the members of God's Army, as they create original rap songs, using the Word of God as their inspiration. This Lyrical Theology (the study of God through songs) is perfect for any age, nationality or gender. The songs are broken down, by listing all scriptural references and each writer’s personal commentary on their verses. This is done to ensure that God's Army is ministering to people, as opposed to "entertaining" them. There's a war going on, and 612 is preparing soldiers...warriors for the battle. Description
Each one of us is called to be a witness of the gospel of Jesus Christ! God has equipped us with the means to learn about His kingdom, and He requires us to tell others about His goodness. Our culture, age, gender, socioeconomic background, and personal history all influence the way we perceive God. It also helps to shape the way we witness to others and teach them about God's principles. We are all familiar with the saying, "Our children are our future." Unfortunately, the church has become rigid in its thought processes regarding effective evangelism for this future generation, and has not always embraced more radical methods of reaching them. However, throughout biblical history, God always employed highly effective strategies to reach His people, many of which would be deemed radical. For our times, it is our conviction, that rap music is a powerfully strategic tool, when effectively utilized, to reach young people. Rap, initially thought to be a passing fad, has become not only the voice of urban America, but it is THE voice of our youth today.
