Overview
These poems are the story of my life for the last 20 years. they are about my joy and my pain. They are also what I have learned as a human being in this wonderful and dreadful world we live in. My journey is unique as it is universal. I am sure you will relate to my experiences as they come with being human. Good art helps us feel more deeply and may motivate us to reflect on our lives. I hope I have lived up to that standard. Enjoy
Description
These poems are the story of my life for the last 20 years. They are about my joy and my pain. They are also what I have learned as a human in this wonderful and dreadful world we live in. My journey is unique as it is universal. I am sure you will relate to my experiences as they come with being human. Good art helps us feel more deeply and may motivate us to reflect on our lives. I hope that I have lived up to that standard. Poetry is painting pictures with words. It touches us on mental, emotional and spiritual levels that stimulates a deeper life. I am a shy person but feel compelled to share this work at this time. May this book inspire your creativity in the medium you enjoy.
About the author
I am a psychotherapist by trade and artist by passion. I have been writing poetry for about 20 years and was inspired by a woman I was living with who brought me to parties filled with musicians, poets and healers. Out of that inspiration I started writing poetry. There many of us in boulder county who are creating our own culture with poetry, music, dance and other artistic ventures. I am proud to be a part of a group of people who refuse to be only audience and are cultivating all kinds of creative expression. We are all artists even those who haven't discovered their own expression of it. This book is dedicated to all of you.I am a hopeless romantic with a mystical bent. i am also a scientist digging nuggets of truth out of my everyday experience. Socrates said " a life unexamined is not worth living" I tend to agree. My poetry is an exploration and enjoyment of my life. My hope is that it may touch you, inspire you, make you laugh or cry. thank you for sharing in this journey.
