Description
3 Poetry Books in 1 is a compilation of three short books of poetry I wrote thru the years. Book 1 in this compilation is called "Chrysalis". Book 2 is called "In Every Heartbeat", and Book 3 is called "We Are the Nectar". On my website, Banana Patch Fantasy Productions when you click the Chameleon link, you can navigate to my Poetry Hook where I showcase my 12 books of poetry. The books have watercolor covers and inserts. I also have made audio recordings of each poem. The links to the audio is on the left of the page just above each poem. I'm in the process of remastering all the audio files. I have remastered 6 books already. Here's the link to my website: http://bpfprod.bizland.com/ I'm not offering the watercolors and audio tracks with this ebook. I hope with the next ebook in the series, I'll be able to provide links. These audio tracks are not affiliated with any professional media. They're just home recordings I made of myself reciting my poetry. But once that issue is cleared up, I will be able to present the audio files and hopefully the watercolors too with my ebooks.
About the author
I was born and raised in NYC and moved to the Hawaiian Islands when I was 21. I was escaping the Civil Rights Movement because I was already physically injured and being a woman of mixed heritage, I felt very alienated from mainstream America. I was also afraid (being an unadoptable) orphan and sought refuge with the Kanakama'ole people. I was so fortunate to meet a loving couple, Mr. & Mrs. David Joseph. Mrs. Joseph's name was Hannah. She was from Hana, Maui and her maiden name was Hanamaka'i. She accepted me like a daughter, a hanai style daughter. How fortunate for me....I only stayed on Maui for a few years, and then moved to Arizona where my children were born. Before they were 6 & 8 we moved to L.A. for work and professional success. I did get some schooling but had to work. It was too hard for me to sustain a full time job having a chest injury (which I survived) because the broken ribs still pin my heart down. It gets grim, but now I know how to manage my disability, so forget about it! (smile) Well, I had an opportunity to perform in a music festival. I'm a songwriter. So it turned out that we came to Maui and we've been here ever since. Now my kids are gorwn and I'm a grandma. Life is good. I'm very grrateful to the Hawaiian people for their Aloha & Kokua.
