Overview
From J.D. Nolte comes a new science-fiction novel that blends a dystopian technological future, knowledge from the past, with the bonds of family in a unique explosive mix! The second US Civil War has come and gone, and to the satisfaction of the global elite the United States is no more. Over the next 100 years the US constitution is eradicated, history is rewritten, and the people are chipped, tracked and drugged, creating a docile population that grows smaller with every passing year. The UN and the dynasty of global elites have the control and power they've always wanted, but there is one man awake. Jake survived his cancer because of a new viral treatment in his day, but that treatment was both blessing and curse. He lived on without aging, watching the world around him collapse. The government's drugs took his wife and destroyed his family, and as the years passed his anger grew. It was Jake's Rococo graffiti that labeled Grayson as a terrorist by the government, yet it was also the catalyst that brought them together. Grayson makes Jake's fight his own as he struggles with his withdrawal from the governments drugs and learns first hand of the tyranny surrounding them. Living in the shadows of the police state they come together as family, with a common focus in the destruction of the drug distribution facilities along the Ohio River. The future of a nation isn't defined by technology, it will be defined by the determination of people who haven't forgotten the past!

About the author
J.D. Nolte weaves his stories out of his life experience blended with the intricate reality that exists around us. He grew up reading the works of Piers Anthony, Brian Ball, William Gibson, Larry Niven, and others. It was his interest in the futuristic technologies they brought to life that set Joe's path in the aerospace industry where he saw science fiction became science fact in the new jet engines of today. However, it was the works of Allan Eckert that grounded him in the reality of the past, its simplicity, the beauty, and the hardships. Whether wrapped in the technology of the future, or anchored in the past, he learned it is the study of our humanity that is the cornerstone of a good book. Through his career Joe has traveled the globe, experiencing many cultures, and seeing first-hand the mysteries and the mysticism in the world around us. He continues to enjoy life outside his aerospace career through wood working, backpacking, muscle cars, living history, and now thanks to his son, as an author!
