About the author

My name is Cedric D.Gregory I'm 53 years old. I Have 10  children and 6 grandchildren. I grew up in South East San Diego. The community of Emerald Hills, where I still reside there with my mother who is 86 years old, my 3 younger kids, and my two siblings. We've owned this house for 46 years. My mother raised me as a single parent, it's not her fault the route I took. In Southern California more than half of us chose the route of gang banging, drug dealing and all that comes with it. The book is based on the same time the crack epidemic started in my town. After the trials some of us seem to go that route. Which ended me up in jail, to state prison, to federal prison. Its also where I found the Lord. Got saved started reading books, and where I started writing. When I was released in 2016, I joined Grace Spring Valley church where I was welcomed with open arms. I also started back coaching baseball this time my youngest girls were on my team. its never to late to make a positive change in life.

Overview

Two teenage homeboys that kick it all the time, who's been getting in trouble at school.  Living life having fun at that age. The homeboy asked his brother could we get a ride to Balboa Park, check out some girls have a good time. Which we did, but on the way home all that went out the window. We were mistaken for some other people. We get pulled over harassed, talked to disrespectful and they ended up in a scuffle with the driver. Where he was down getting beat and fearing for his life. Somehow he got a hold of the officers gun shooting the officers and the civilian ride along. Got away, turned his self in, and pleaded self defense with over fifty witnesses. The whole city both sides waited for the trial, still in disbelief.
