Overview
There are leaders at every level of an organization that have earned the respect and trust of their peers, seniors and staff. This book highlights the top traits of those leaders identified over the author's experience and provides several examples of those traits in action.
Description
Not every leader is in a management position and not all people in management positions are leaders. This book identifies several of the traits of the most effective leaders across the different hierarchies of an organization and provides an insight to how they differentiate themselves from the pack. While not a checklist for how to get promoted, it is a tool that one can evaluate oneself against to see how well they relate. If you are in a management position, the book does highlight areas that will have an impact on whether your team will go beyond the respect for the title or position you have, to more of a respect and trust of you as an individual. A quick read, somewhat entertaining, but with real life examples, the book is meant to be a somewhat reference guide to be referred to when needed.
