About the author
Aaron and Nicole Keim live in Hood River, Oregon, where they live an artistic life: making music, building musical instruments, teaching music, writing books, crafting folk art and raising their 10 year old son Henry. They both have degrees in music education, which they have used to teach in schools, music festivals, private lessons and adult classes. They have published several ukulele and banjo instructional books on many topics, with Nicole's hand written notation and Aaron's YouTube videos combining to help folks learn at home. Aaron is also a luthier, building ukuleles and banjos as Beansprout Musical Instruments, with Nicole running the business. They are the artistic directors for Menucha Ukulele Bandcamp and Port Townsend Ukulele Festival.
