Overview
Giancarlo has never been content with his simple, rural Italian life. He's always yearned for more-yearned for the answers to the deep questions he's always sensed but never been able to express. That is, until he meets Amaro Maggio, eschews the agriculture degree his parents chose for him and sets off on a mystical journey to enlightenment.
He finally believes he is on the path intended for him in life when his father's accidental death-and with it, the revelation that his grandfather might not be dead after all-completely derails his plans. The universe then throws the mysterious Jill Heston and the enigmatic Nicodemus into the mix and Giancarlo is suddenly finding answers to questions he'd never even thought to ask.
