Overview
The memoirs of a "farm girl" from rural Maryland who married, moved to Haddonfield, New Jersey, raised four children, was honored for her contributions to the community, and lived "a fortunate life."
Description
As a young girl living on a farm in Maryland, Mary Janice Divers never imagined that most of her adult life, as Jan Twitchell, would be spent in Haddonfield, New Jersey, that she would travel extensively in the United States and overseas, that she would fall in love with the land and lakes of New Hampshire, that she would derive so much satisfaction from serving as a volunteer in Haddonfield, or that she would be honored by that community for her service. “When I look back over the ninety years recorded herein,” she writes in the foreword, “I am truly amazed that a farm girl from rural Maryland could have had such good fortune.”
